Glenn D. Miller, a senior partner at Sivin & Miller, LLP, is the firm's principal trial lawyer and a well-known lecturer on trial techniques.
Mr. Miller has a degree in Political Science from the University of Rochester and received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1984. Prior to being in private practice, Mr. Miller was a supervisor of the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society. In his early years with the Legal Aid Society, he was the youngest lawyer to be assigned homicide cases, and he went on to try dozens of homicide and other major felony cases. Since going into private practice, Mr. Miller has won several multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements in false arrest, civil rights, assault, and other police misconduct cases, and in cases involving accidents with catastrophic injuries.
Edward Sivin is a senior partner at Sivin & Miller, LLP and is the firm's principal appellate lawyer. Mr. Sivin has handled numerous appeals that resulted in published decisions on important issues involving false arrest, police misconduct, and compensation for catastrophic injuries. His work has resulted in improving the application of laws that protect victims of police misconduct and in increasing the amount of monetary compensation to which those victims are entitled. Mr. Sivin has won several multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of the firm's clients.
Mr. Sivin has a degree in Philosophy from the University at Albany and received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 1981. He was an editor of the Law Review and is a published author.
