Edward Sivin is a senior partner at Sivin, Miller, & Roche LLP and is the firm’s principal appellate lawyer. Mr. Sivin has handled numerous appeals that resulted in published decisions on important issues involving false arrest, police misconduct, and compensation for catastrophic injuries. His work has resulted in improving the application of laws that protect victims of police misconduct and in increasing the amount of monetary compensation to which those victims are entitled. Mr. Sivin has won several multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of the firm’s clients. Mr. Sivin has a degree in Philosophy from the University at Albany and received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 1981. He was an editor of the Law Review and is a published author.
