Lissa Green-Stark

Lissa Green-Stark is an accomplished litigator with a practice focused exclusively on representing victims of civil rights violations. Over the past fifteen years, Ms. Green-Stark has successfully advocated on behalf of clients in federal and state court in cases involving police and correction officer misconduct, including for false arrest, malicious prosecution, denial of fair trial, and excessive force, as well as other prisoner's rights violations. Ms. Green-Stark possesses considerable litigation and trial experience, with a particular focus on legal writing and appellate practice, as well as experience in class action litigation.

Prior to joining Sivin, Miller & Roche, Ms. Green-Stark began her career as a public defender, representing indigent individuals facing criminal prosecutions, before shifting her focus to civil rights litigation, first as an associate at Leventhal & Klein, LLP, and then as a partner at Brett H. Klein, Esq., PLLC.

Lissa Green-Stark earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she served as an Editor for the Public Interest Law Journal and as a board member for Boston University School of Law’s Public Interest Project, and her B.A. from Oberlin College. Ms. Green-Stark is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
